In an interview with the youth of Cedar Mountain Chapel International – Assemblies of God during a program dubbed “Personality Profile From Acting to Pastoring: story of MAJID MICHEL”, Minister Majid Michel said Pascal Amanfo a movie creative Director, Author and Apostle of Purity Media threw a challenge at him when he snapped a picture of him kneeling with hands raised during a worship segment and posted it on social media.
He said in a statement “I stayed home for two weeks without asking him anything, but later he said to me that the Holy Spirit pushed him to do so. From there I began to do what I am doing today by the grace of God”.
Minister Majid also touched on a very important topic why there are so many broken homes among the Christians. He said it is due to lack of fatherly love for the children and also the father not playing the role he’s supposed to play well. When the father is able to stay home and not chase after what is not necessary and makes sure he goes to church with them and loves them at all times, misconducts will not increase because who we are today is what we learnt from our parents.
He also explains why there is a need for the moral upbringing of every child by using the Bible verse Proverbs 22:6 “Train up the child the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Minister Majid made a simple demonstration by calling forth a lady and gentleman to the front, and also asked a few people to join in. The lady represented the mother whiles the gentleman represented the father and the others were the children. He first started by explaining what really a train is. He said, the long running transportation machine is not all called the train but rather first part. The other parts are called wagons or carriage etc. So the father represents the main front part which is the train, the mother joins the train together with the children so where ever the father goes, that is where they go. When the father who is the train goes to stand at the back and pushes them to do what he himself is not doing then problem comes.
Another inspiring thing he talked on was how the Pastor neglects the family and gets married to the church. He said, God requires of everyone to love one another just as he loves him or herself. So likewise the pastor has to love the family and try to have time to spend with them always. Because when he goes healing people, performing miracles each and every day and neglecting the family, the children lack fatherly love and choose to do things their own way. That is where the devil comes in and plays with their mind and turns them away from the love of God.
Minister Majid Michel talked a lot about the Christian youth and how to choose a partner. He encouraged every youth to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit who is our Guide and Comforter. He stated strongly that God does not choose a partner for any one so we could blame it on Him when something goes wrong. Even in the Garden of Eden, God did not give Eve to Adam but when he woke up and saw her, He proclaimed seeing a bone of his bones, and a flesh of his flesh when Eve waddled by. Immediately he took her as wife and God blessed it.
So God does not control our will, and that is the gift God gave to man to be in charge of his own will.
He talked about a lot of measures on which every youth should stand and overcome the temptation of today so they could make it to the Creator God.
When asked by Omega Israel the interviewer concerning his view on paying tithes, He said “Yes it is good to pay tithe because it is even in the New Testament. They are meant to cater for the need of the poor in the church. Likewise in the Old Testament days, there was also gleaning in a form of tithing”. He quoted two scriptures on tithing which is Matthew 23:23 and Luke 11:42 after which he took his time to explain them.
The whole program was crowned by the cutting of birthday cake by the May borns together with Minister Majid Michel, Bishop Timothy Bentum, Rev. Stephen Wengham.
