During an interview with 12FramesTv’s Dela Akafia, she was asked about her take on violence against women and children as she elaborated on this topic by saying “It’s a problem especially in this our world especially Ghana and Africa as a whole just because the law doesn’t favor women. We are living in a world where men reign superior and see women as inferior, and that is what is bringing all these problems. If we look at our culture a woman is supposed to be a wife who cooks in the kitchen.”

She proceeded by mentioning how some people discourage women when they want to further their education stating “Women are a better vessel for Development. When you empower a woman, and the woman is economically stable, the man enjoys, the children enjoy, the relatives enjoy, the community enjoys and then the country also moves forward.”

She concluded by saying, Violence Against Women is one of the reasons why she affirms herself as an advocate for the passage of the affirmative action bill which will help mitigate all the problems women face.
