“I Cannot Go Into The Grave With My Bank Account; It Is The Legacy I Leave Behind That Matters” – C.E.O. of West Africa’s Biggest Airline (Air Peace) to Wode Maya

Nigerian lawyer and Business Mogul Barrister Allen Onyema who started West Africa’s Biggest Airline -Air Peace in 2010 and has become successful with almost 38 airplanes disclosed to Africa’s No. 1 Vlogger Wode Maya also known as Mr. GhanaBaby what propelled him into the aviation business.

He said his intention was to establish a business that could employ a lot of people who are jobless and stranded but not for him to become rich. This idea given to him by his father in his early stages of life challenged him to go the extra mile of employing over 3000 workers at Air Peace.

Barrister Allen Onyema discovered his entrepreneurial skills at the age of 12 hawking football and had gradually grown into Real Estates after his tertiary education. After achieving much in the real estate business, he ventured into Trading, Import, and Export of goods.

His love of helping people birthed his saying “I can neither go into the grave with my wallet nor my bank account but the legacy I leave behind matters most”.

“I don’t want money; I just want to create jobs,” he said to his consultant who tried convincing him how the business could be lucrative with his first three jets he purchased without employing a lot of people.

Upon seeing that it could not employ a large number of people which was his main motive, he challenged himself to purchase four passenger planes within the same week.

During the transactions of buying the airplanes, the risks of running passenger planes were spelt out to him but in a few words he noted “It is risky but if I handle it well; I may not lose the money.”

“I was humble enough not to pretend, about what I knew and what I didn’t know about planes. So upon my descriptions with the hand, he sold four of the planes to me at reduced prices, he added.

He further admonished other Africans living in the diaspora saying “Africa is a virgin continent so there is a lot to be done here, bring your ideas from the diaspora and let’s build Africa together.  There are so many things, millions to be done here. Every African country is blessed with natural resources; we should not be lured with a lack of infrastructure and be running away to other continents to stay there. The Europeans, the Americans, the Asians, and everybody wants a piece of Africa, Why can’t we believe in ourselves? We look down on ourselves too much. We over talk about our shortcomings to the outside world which makes them feel special. God created us so differently, we are good people, we are compassionate, we care, we have human feelings; we need to change the way we do things.”

Answering Wode Maya’s question, is Africa the future? He said “Africa is not only the future but Africa is now. We shouldn’t look down on ourselves this is the place to be.”

We wish Barrister Allen Onyeka every heart desire come true as he embarks on the journey of linking the entire world with Air Peace.
