The Member of Parliament for Madina, Dr. Francis-Xavier Sosu Esq., together with the Municipal Chief Executive for La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Faila, on behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, presented 10 cows to the Chiefs of Madina and their respective communities in celebration of the sacred Eid al-Adha festival.
The symbolic gesture, which reflects the spirit of sacrifice, compassion, and unity associated with Eid al-Adha, was warmly received by the traditional leaders and members of the Muslim community within the municipality.




Speaking during the presentation, Dr. Sosu Esq. emphasized the importance of peace, tolerance, and national unity, especially during moments of spiritual reflection and celebration. He noted that Eid al-Adha serves as a reminder of selflessness, forgiveness, obedience to God, and the need for collective sacrifice in building a stronger and more united Ghana.
He further conveyed warm greetings from President John Dramani Mahama to all Muslim faithful and prayed for Allah’s continued blessings upon the nation.




“As we celebrate this remarkable Festival of Sacrifice, we pray for peace, unity, forgiveness, and above all, the wisdom and strength to continue serving God and country with dedication and sacrifice,” he stated.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Ibrahim Faila, also expressed profound gratitude to President Mahama for what he described as the President’s selfless leadership and continuous support towards this year’s Eid al-Adha celebrations. He further commended the Chiefs and people of Madina for their unwavering commitment to promoting peace, unity, and tranquility within the municipality.






According to him, the peaceful coexistence among residents remains a strong pillar for development and social harmony, urging the communities to continue fostering mutual respect and togetherness beyond the festive season.
The initiative forms part of the leadership’s continued commitment to strengthening community relations, supporting religious harmony, and sharing in the joy of citizens during important festive occasions.
Muslim brothers and sisters across the country have also been encouraged to use the occasion to pray for Ghana’s peace, stability, and development.
