The newly confirmed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for La Nkwantanang-Madina, Hon. Ibrahim Faila Fuseini, conducted a site inspection of an ongoing drainage construction project at the Social Welfare area in the municipality this Friday afternoon. This visit precedes an official tour scheduled for Monday with the Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu.

The drainage project aims to mitigate the perennial flooding issues that have plagued parts of Madina, especially during the rainy season. Hon. Fuseini, accompanied by some assembly officials, assessed the progress of the construction and engaged with the contractors on-site.

“This project is crucial for the safety and well-being of our residents. We are committed to ensuring that Madina becomes more resilient to flooding,” Hon. Fuseini stated during the inspection. He emphasized the importance of completing the project on schedule and adhering to quality standards.

The upcoming Monday visit with MP Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu is expected to highlight the collaborative efforts between the municipal assembly and parliamentary representatives in addressing infrastructural challenges in the area.

Hon. Fuseini, who was confirmed as MCE last month, has pledged to run an open and inclusive administration, focusing on key issues such as roads, drainage, education, and sanitation. His administration plans to hold quarterly town hall meetings and maintain a 24-hour feedback platform to engage with residents.

Residents have expressed optimism about the drainage project, hoping it will provide lasting relief from flooding and improve living conditions in the municipality.

The assembly urges all residents to cooperate with construction teams and adhere to safety protocols around the construction zones. For further updates on the project and other municipal initiatives, residents are encouraged to stay connected through official assembly communications.
