Over the weekend, the Madina Job Center, a visionary initiative led by Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, Member of Parliament for Madina, officially matriculated more than 120 students into its 2025 Apprenticeship Cohort.
This initiative, which began on November 24, 2019, continues to provide transformative opportunities for young people through practical skill training, ultimately fostering employment and entrepreneurship within Madina and its environs.

The newly matriculated apprentices will receive training in a variety of vocational fields, including Fashion Design, Hairdressing, Make-up & Nail Artistry, Barbering, Baking, and Shoe Making.
These skills are intended not just to empower the individuals, but to enable them to create jobs and economic opportunities for others within their communities.




The event was honored by the presence of key national and constituency dignitaries, underscoring the broad support this initiative enjoys. Notable attendees include Hon. Osman Abdulai Ayariga, CEO of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Lawyer Joan Selasie Ahiawordor, Esq., Deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (NEIP), Nii Djani Tsuru Afutu Brempong IV, Chief of Danfa and Chairman of the occasion, Hon. Alhaji Faila – NDC Chairman, Madina Constituency, Dr. Timothy Avordeh – CEO of Madina Center for Education and Policy, and Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu the convener.




Their presence was a testament to the importance of vocational education and the positive change it is bringing to Madina and beyond.
The National Youth Authority Boss, Hon. Osman Abdulai Ayariga, and the Deputy CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program (NEIP), Lawyer Joan Selasie Ahiawordor, Esq., have pledged their support through their respective flagship offices to collaborate with stakeholders in scaling up innovative youth-driven projects at the Madina Job Center and across the country.

These collaborations are expected to yield several key benefits, including: Enhanced cross-sector partnerships with public and private stakeholders, Increased access to funding and mentorship for young entrepreneurs, Policy-level support for grassroots initiatives, and National expansion of successful local projects.

The CEO of the Madina Job Center, Mrs. Priscilla Naa Aklerh Plange, expressed her heartfelt appreciation during an interview with the media “On behalf of Hon. Francis-Xavier Sosu, MP for Madina, and the entire Madina Job Center team, we express our deepest gratitude to all who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Your encouragement and presence made the day even more special for our trainees. Together, we are shaping a future where young people are equipped with the tools to dream, build, and lead. Let’s keep building dreams and creating opportunities—together.”
